Candidate Eligible for B.Ed. right after passing Class 12th

Candidates eligible for B.Ed. right after passing Class 12th – Most of the School Boards have declared the Class 12th results by June. Those students who successfully cleared their exams are now looking for different Undergraduate Courses to apply for. Most of the Higher Secondary or Intermediate passed students might be thinking about which course to go for or what college might be best for them.

Many students aspire to become teachers. For this, they might be about to take admission into any three-year Undergraduate course which is the eligibility for  Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.) degree course of two years.

We have a piece of news due for those 12th passed students who wish to become teachers. Recently, the National Council of Education, Research and Training (NCERT) announced that now students can directly apply for B.Ed. courses after clearing their 12th exam from any stream under a recognized Board. Aspirants would have to clear a Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for admission into B.Ed. courses under different colleges across India. This entrance will be similar to Medical and Engineering entrances.

Earlier, the students wished to pursue B.Ed. degrees needed to score a minimum of 60% marks in their undergraduate courses. SC/ST and female candidates were allowed further exemptions.

Earlier, students who wished to opt for B.Ed. courses were given admission on the merit basis. However, now most of the states conduct their own Common Entrance Exam for admission into B.Ed. courses. Once the students who clear this exam get admission into several types of B.Ed. courses such as integrated B.Ed. Courses of four years, 2 year B.Ed courses and M.Sc. M.Ed. courses among others.

The new CEE will consider 20% marks of 12th Boards and 80% marks scored in CEE. In order to apply for this course, students need to visit NCERT’s official website which is www.ncert.nic.in
