About IIP Mumbai

  • Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is an autonomous body in the field of packaging and working under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The Institute was established on 14th May, 1966. The main objective of the Institute is to promote the export market by way of innovative package design and development as well as to upgrade the overall standards of packaging in the country. The Institute is involved in various activities like testing and evaluation of packaging materials and packages, consultancy services and research & development related to packaging. Besides this, the Institute is involved in training and education in the field of packaging.

Course Duration

  • The course is of 18 month duration

 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Graduates in Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering and Technology from UGC recognized University / Diploma from recognized technical board in Engineering /Technology are eligible for the course.
  • Experience: Candidates should have minimum one year industrial experience in the operational area like Production, Purchase, Marketing and Quality Control in the packaging industry.

  • No age limit

 

Application Process

  • Application form along with Prospectus and Syllabus can be obtained from any centers of Indian Institute of Packaging by paying Rs. 250/- only by DD in favor of Indian Institute of Packaging.
  • The application forms should be sent directly to the “Indian Institute of Packaging, Mumbai” along with the fee by Demand Draft in favor of Indian Institute of Packaging, payable at Mumbai.

Course Fee

  • Indian participants: Rs.77,000/‑ Plus GST (18%) Overseas participant: US $1800

 

Selection Procedure

  • Selection process through Entrance Examination at Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Delhi; the admission to this Program will be done according to the following two steps:
    • Written Examination
    • Personal Interview
