Eligibility Criteria
Citizenship: A Candidate must be either:(a) a citizen of India, or(b) a subject of Nepal, or(c) a subject of Bhutan, or(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India
Educational Qualification
Assistant Commissioner (Crops): Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Extension or Agronomy or Entomology
Aeronautical Officer: Degree in Aeronautical or Electrical or Electronics or Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized university.
Scientist ‘B’ (Mechanical): Master’s degree in Physics from a recognized University or Institute
Junior Scientific Officer (Explosive): Master’s Degree in Chemistry / Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level
Assistant Chemist: Master’s Degree in any branch of Chemistry or Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering
Age Limit
Assistant Commissioner (Crops): Maximum Age Limit is 40 Years
Aeronautical Officer: (Crops): Maximum Age Limit is 35 Years
Scientist ‘B’ (Mechanical): (Crops): Maximum Age Limit is 35 Years
Junior Scientific Officer (Explosive): (Crops): Maximum Age Limit is 30 Years
Assistant Chemist: Maximum Age Limit is 30 Years
Salary Structure
Assistant Commissioner (Crops): Rs.15600-39,100/- Per Month with Grade Pay: Rs.6600/-
Scientist ‘B’ (Mechanical): Rs.56100-177500/- Per Month
Junior Scientific Officer (Explosive): Rs.9300-34,800/- Per Month with Grade Pay: Rs.4600/-
Assistant Chemist: Rs.47600 – 1,51,100/- Per Month
