Eligibility Criteria for DSSB Teacher Recruitment 2018

The candidate must be a citizen of India

The educational qualification, age, experience etc. as stipulated in advertisement shall be determined as on the closing date of submission of application

 

Educational Qualification

PGT Post: Bachelor’s or graduation degree in related field / Master’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university

TGT Post: Bachelor’s degree (Honors/Pass) in any discipline from a recognized university/institute

Lower Division Clerk: 2th class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or university. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English typing or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Grade-IV DASS: 12th class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer (35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH/9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word)

Grade-II DASS: Degree from a recognized university in Arts/Commerce/Science or Agriculture. Knowledge of Hindi

Statistical Assistant: Post Graduate Degree in Statistics / Operational research / Mathematical Statistics / Applies statistics Or Post Graduate Degree in Economics / Mathematics / Commerce (with Statistics as one of the subject/papers in Post-Graduation/Graduation level); Working knowledge of Computers

Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/Institution or equivalent Two years’ building Constructions/Civil Development works

Draughtsman Grade-III: Matriculation or equivalent from a Board or institution recognized by state/central Govt. 2 years diploma in Draftsmanship from a recognized institution

Field Assistant: Matriculation /High School Pass from a recognized institute/Board Matriculation /High School Pass from a recognized institute/Board

Food Safety Officer: A degree in food technology or dairy technology or bio technology or oil technology or agriculture science or veterinary sciences or bio chemistry or micro biology or Master degree in Chemistry or Degree in Medicine from recognized university or Any other equivalent/recognized qualification notified by Central Govt. Successfully completion of training as specified by Food Authority in a recognized institute or institutions approved for the purpose

Librarian: Graduate from a recognized university with diploma in Library Science or One year’s professional experience Bachelor in Library Science Speed of 30 w.p.m. in Typewriting on Computer

Librarian (Dte. Of Training): Bachelor’s degree in Library science or Library and Information science of a recognized university/institute or Diploma in computer application from recognized university or institute Two years professional experience in a library under central/state government/autonomous or statutory organization/PSU/university or recognized research or educational institution

 

Age Limit

The minimum age of the candidates is 23 years while the maximum age is 30 years

 

Age Relaxation

Age Relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories as stated under Government of India

1. SC/ST 5 years

2. OBC 3 years

3. PH 10 years

4. PH+SC/ST 15 years

5. PH+OBC 13 years

6. Ex. Servicemen Period of Military Service+3 years

7. Disabled Defence Servicemen 45 years, 50 years for SC/ST, 48 years for OBC

8. Widows/Divorced Women/Women judicially separated 35 years, 40 years (SC/ST), 38 years (OBC)

9. Meritorious Sportsperson 05 years, 10 years (SC/ST), 08 years (OBC)

DSSSB 2018 Exam Pattern

DSSSB 2018 Exam will be conducted in two levels: Tier-I and Tier-II. The exam pattern for both these level of examination is different.

 

DSSSB Tier-I Exam

Tier-I is an online exam with multiple choice questions comprising of 200 marks & two sections- A & B. Sections such as General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English and Hindi Language Test are asked in Section A of Tier-I DSSSB Exam and will constitute of 100 marks.

General Awareness – 20 Max. Marks

Reasoning – 20 Max. Marks

Numerical Ability – 20 Max. Marks

English Language Test – 20 Max. Marks

Hindi Language Test – 20 Max. Marks

Duration of the Test – 2 years

Section B of DSSSB Tier-I Exam consists of MCQs on Post-Graduation qualification and teaching methodology required for the post. This section will constitute of 100 Marks and will be compulsory for all the candidates appearing for the post of TGT, PGT and other teaching posts offered through DSSSB 2018

 

DSSSB Tier-II Exam

Tier-II exam has a 200 marks Multiple Choice Question based test. An additional descriptive test of 75 marks is asked in the Tier-II Exam of DSSSB. A descriptive essay writing of 50 marks and a descriptive letter writing of 25 marks is asked in the descriptive test of DSSSB online Exam

General Awareness – 40 Max. Marks

Reasoning – 40 Max. Marks

Numerical Ability – 40 Max. Marks

English Language – 40 Max. Marks

Hindi Language – 40 Max. Marks

Descriptive Test – 75 Max. Marks

Duration of the Test – 2 years

0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in DSSSB 2018 Exam.

Application Fee

A candidate needs to pay Rs.100/- as his/her application fee for DSSSB 2018 Exam. Female candidates, candidates belonging to SC/ST/ PWD/ex. Servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. Candidates can pay their application fee online only through SBI e-pay
