Eligibility Requirement :
- GEN / OBC candidates with first class in B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering Graduate from AICTE approved Colleges / recognised Universities in Electronics / Electronics and Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Communication / Telecommunication / Mechanical / Computer Science / Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates with first class in AMIE / GIETE, in the above disciplines are also eligible to apply. SC/ST/PWD candidates with pass class in the above degree / disciplines are eligible to apply.
- Candidates currently studying in the final semester / final year of BE / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering are not eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed their Engineering Degree in 2008 and in previous years will only be eligible to apply..
- The maximum age limit for General candidates is 25 years of age as on 01.10.2008.
- Special dispensation allowed for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically handicapped person (PWD), Ex-Serviceman (XSM), Kashmiri Migrant (KM).
- There are 169 vacancies for the above position (100 Electronics, 46 Mechanical and 23 Computer Science).
- The above openings are for the following locations: Bangalore (Karnataka), Ghaziabad (UP), Pune (Maharashtra), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Machilipatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Panchkula (Haryana), Kotdwara (Uttaranchal), Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra), Delhi, Kolkata (WB) and Vishakhapatnam.
- Candidates are required to note down and keep a record of the auto generated Registration Number that will appear after the online application format has been filled in correctly and submitted. This Number will be required for accessing, downloading and printing the written test call letter that will be placed on the BEL website on 10.11.2008.
SCALE OF PAY:
Candidates selected against the above position, will be placed in E-II grade, at the minimum of the pay scale of Rs.8600-250-14600/- in addition, they will be entitled to DA, HRA, CCA, Conveyance Allowance, Medical Reimbursement and other perquisites as admissible. Pay scales are due for revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007.

METHOD OF SELECTION:
Selection will be through written test and interview of shortlisted candidates based on performance in the written test.
Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online application is accepted are required to log on to the website and enter their auto generated Registration No. to access and download their written test call letter. Candidates are required to print the call letter and comply with the instructions indicated therein. Please note that call letters will not be sent through e-mail or through conventional mail.
Candidates, whose applications are accepted through the process of submission of online applications, are eligible to attend the written test at the respective centre. The call letters will be uploaded on the website on 10.11.2008.
THE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE HELD ON 23.11.2008
The written test will be held at Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Guwahati centres. Candidates should choose the test centre nearest to their place of correspondence. SC/ST/PWD candidates will be reimbursed II Class to and fro train fare by the shortest route (from their correspondence address to the written test exam centre) for attending the written test on production of Railway Ticket Receipts and copy of the relevant caste / disability certificate, without which no reimbursement will be made.
You are required to download and print the Traveling Allowance Format (Click here to download the Format). Candidates shortlisted for the written test are required to fill in the Traveling Allowance Format and enclose the ticket and a photocopy of the ticket for the return journey. The Traveling Allowance Claim Form will be handed over to the Invigilator at the time of the written test. Please note that the candidates who have not downloaded, printed and filled the Traveling Allowance Claim form and with the required enclosures will not be paid TA.
The written test will consist of Objective type questions from basic Engineering subjects, in the respective disciplines / specialisations and General Aptitude. The list of candidates short-listed in the written test for interview, will tentatively appear on the BEL website on 05.12.2008. They will be required to appear for an interview for final selection. The results of selection will be available on the BEL website through query mode.

GEN/OBC candidates applying for the above posts are required to forward a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.300/- and SC/ST/PWD candidates are required to make a DD for Rs.50/- in favour of BHARAT ELECTRONICS LIMITED drawn preferably on State Bank of India, payable at SBI, New Delhi alongwith the print out of the filled online application form having auto generated Registration Number with photograph affixed and duly signed, so as to reach Post Box No. 3076, Lodhi Road, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003 on or before 03.11.2008. Please indicate your name and auto generated Registration No. on the reverse side of the D.D. The written test call letters of candidates who do not submit the DDs by 03.11.2008 will not be uploaded on the website and they will not be eligible to attend the written test.

Candidates employed in Govt. Quasi-Govt. and Public Sector Undertakings will be required to produce ‘No Objection Certificate’ at the time of interview, without which they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.

SERVICE AGREEMENT : Selected candidates will be required to undergo an Orientation / On-the-Job training for a period of 6 months. They will be required to execute a Service Agreement to serve the company for a period of 3 years after training and should be willing to serve in any of our Units / Regional Offices. The amount payable for breach of Service Contract is Rs.3,00,000/-. The original Degree Certificate will be retained by the Company for the period of the Service Agreement and returned to the candidate after completion of the same.

The total number of posts allocated to each specialisation may be increased or decreased based on the actual requirement at the time of recruitment at the discretion of Management.

Appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to being found medically fit by the Company’s Medical Authorities.

There will be no separate communication to any candidates on their non-selection at any stage.

In respect of Physically Handicapped Persons, the degree of disability that the candidate should have, for consideration under the category, will be as prescribed by Government norms.

Candidates may opt to answer the written test question paper in English or Hindi.

Candidates whose Degree Certificate does not tally with the branch mentioned in the application will not be considered for interview.
