National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Council centrally regulates academics for hospitality and hotel administration and other eleven structured courses of studies that are imparted at the existing 24 Institutes of Hotel Management and 7 Food Craft Institutes located in different parts of the country. All Institutes uniformly follow standardized course curricula prescribed by the Council for the twelve different professional programmes.

Courses Offered 

The Bachelor of Science programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is offered jointly by the National Council for Hotel Management and the Indira Gandhi National Open University.

Admission Process
Admission to the above courses is regulated by the respective Institutes. Announcement for admission is released by them between May-July each year. Candidates meeting the prescribed entry-level requirements may apply to the concerned Institute. Admission will be based on the candidate’s merit in the qualifying examination.
Minimum Qualification

Minimum qualification for admission is a pass in the examination of 10+2 system of Senior Secondary education or its equivalent with English as one of the compulsory subject. Those appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination can also appear in JEE 2006 for being considered on provisional basis. Provisional admissions will stand cancelled if proof of having passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent) is not submitted to the concerned Institute by July 24th, 2006. Admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents to be produced by the candidates at the time of admission in Institute. Even after admission to an Institute, if an applicant is at a later date found ineligible on account of having submitted false information or testimonials or for having suppressed any material information, his/her admission will be cancelled and the fee paid will also be forfeited. Decision of National Council regarding the eligibility shall be final.

Question Paper will be bilingual i.e. in English and Hindi (except for item at Sr. No V)

Marking Scheme for JEE Written Test
For each question you will be awarded on mark if you have darkened only one bubble corresponding to the correct answer. In case you have not darkened any bubble, you will be awarded zero mark for that question. There will be negative marking to the extent of half mark for darkening a wrong bubble. There will be no negative marking for S.N. iii (Service & Hospitality aptitude)
