The Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi University is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1997 with an All-India jurisdiction. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). All degrees / certificates awarded by this University are recognised for admission in all Universities of India.

The Eligibility test is meant for those candidates who are desirous of applying for the Post Graduation degree programme of the University. Students appearing for the Eligibility Test must first submit the concerned form. Appearance at Eligibility Test does not qualify a candidate for admission to the degree programme of the University.
