Establishment

The Indian Law Institute (ILI) was founded in 1956 primarily with the objective of promoting and conducting legal research.

The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, the Indian Law Institute has the requisite independence and academic freedom to carry out its objectives

The Indian Law Institute has been granted Deemed University Status in 2004 vide Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification No. F.9-9/2001-U.3 dated 29.10.2004.

3.Ph.D.

Admission process

Minimum qualification for admission to the P.G.Diploma Courses except for Labour Law is a graduate degree from a recognised University. 5% weightage will be given to the law graduates for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Courses. The minimum requirement for admission to the PG Diploma Course in Labour Law is a law degree or M.A. in Social Sciences (IInd Division).

Admission to Ph.D. programme will be regulated as per the ILI regulations governing programme leading to award of Degree of Ph.D. in Law. To know the Regulation and Fee structure for Ph.D. programme
