Establishment

Bharath University was established in the year 1984, and acquired deemed to be University status in the year 2003 by University Grants Commission (UGC).

Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital, Chennai (Approved by Dental Council of India, Govt. of India, New Delhi) was established under the aegis of the Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust for the purpose of providing good dental care to the masses and on opportunity for aspiring youngsters to become eminent Dentists. The Colleges was started in 1989 and is recognised by the Dental Council of India and it is also approved by Government of India.

Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Chennai (Approved by Medical Council of India, Govt. of India, New Delhi) and Sree Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry (Approved by Medical Council of India, Govt. of India, New Delhi) is a private, non-profit, self-financing Medical Institutions, pledged to the service of the community caters to the health care heeds of the people in general, and especially to the needy, under privileged, suffering section of humanity, in particular.

Sree Balaji College of Physiotherapy has been approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu, Vide G.O.MS.No.419, H & FW (PME) department dated 28.07.1998 of the Health and Family Welfare Department and is affiliated to Bharath University, Chennai.

Sree Balaji College of Nursing was established in the year 1992, under Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust. Government of Tamil Nadu sanctioned permission to start B.Sc. Nursing degree programme for intake of 40 students per year. (Govt. of Tamil Nadu G.O.M.S.No.772/Health, Dt. 03.07.1992)

College is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and Tami Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council and it is affiliated to Bharath University, Chennai.

Admission Process

ENGINEERING
Admissions for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses are done through All India Entrance Examination. The entrance examination for Undergraduate courses are conducted during April / May every year while for Postgraduate courses are conducted during May / June every year.

Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkatta, Delhi and Mumbai.

Syllabus: The Entrance Examination for Undergraduate courses is based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards. For Postgraduate courses, the syllabus for Entrance Examination is based on syllabus of Undergraduate courses.

(a) Selection will be made on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in the All India Common Entrance Examination. Intimation letter will be sent to the candidates provisionally selected for admission, in the order of merit.

(b) Incase of candidates who secure the same marks in the Entrance Examination, selection will be made having regard to their academic performance in the qualifying Examination.
