NIT Surathkal MCA Admission 2021 – National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, Surathkal invites applications for admission to MCA Program for the academic year 2021-22 through NIMCET
NIMCET is a Common National Level Entrance Test, conducted by any of the NITs for admission to the MCA program.

- Publication of Advertisement in Press and Web :- 06th March 2021
- Opening date for online Registration :- 11th March 2021
- Last date for online submission of Application Form :- 07th April 2021
- Availability of Admit card on web for download :- 15th May 2021 to 22th May 2021
- Date and Time of Online Examination at the allotted centers :- 23th May 2021
- Date of Publication of Result (Tentative) Tentatively on or before :- 08th June 2021
- Choice filling :- 09th June 2021 to 14th June 2021
- First Round of Allotment :- 18th June 2021
- First round of remote reporting in person in any of the Participating NIT’s :- 22th June 2021 to 23th June 2021
- Second round of Allotment/upgradation :- 27th June 2021
- Second round of remote reporting in person (Fresh allottees must report. And allottees whose seats are upgraded need to report only if they wish to modify their option; otherwise, need not report) :- 01st July 2021 to 2nd July 2021
- Third round of allotment/upgradation :- 06th July 2021

Eligibility Criteria for NIT Surathkal MCA Admission 2021
- Indian Nationals securing at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons)/BCA/BIT/B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications)/ BBA (Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects OR B.E./B.Tech. from a recognized University
NIT Surathkal MCA Admission 2021 Application Process
- Eligible & Interested candidates can apply online mode only.
- To fill the online application form, click on the link “https://www.nimcet.in/” to register for the program and create a password for the application process.
- Eligible candidates must complete and submit the application form online only
Application Fee
- For OPEN/OPEN-EWS/OBC category candidates :- Rs. 2,500/-
- For SC/ST/PwD category candidates :- Rs. 1,250/-
- Mode of Payment :- Through Online
Admission Procedure
- The admission to MCA program will be based on NIMCET-2021 rank .
Exam Pattern
- NIMCET-2021 test will be conducted with only one question paper containing 120 multiple choice questions covering the following subjects.
- Mathematics: 50 Questions
- Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning: 40 questions
- Computer Awareness: 10 questions
- General English: 20 question
- Each correctly answered will carry FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to the NEGATIVE ONE mark.
