Exam date for Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) announced
After a long wait, the Rajasthan Eligibility Test for Teachers is finally going to be conducted in 2021. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced the exam date for Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) to fill up 31000 vacancies in the year 2021. As per the announcement, the examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 25, 2021. Details on REET 2021 would be published on the official website- rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.
Usually, REET exam is conducted once or twice a year for filling up teaching positions in the government schools of Rajasthan. Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) was last conducted in 2017. over 9 lakh candidates had appeared for the examination.
Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra had also tweeted two days ago that the announcement of the REET Exam date would be made soon. Tweeting the date of April 25, 2021 a set for REET, he congratulated the youth of the state.
Dotasra had also shared the intent of shifting the organizing responsibility to the Board of Secondary Education.
Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers is a state level competitive examination conducted to certify candidates for recruitment as teachers in the state. Those who cleared the REET exam will be eligible for recruitment as a teacher in Primary Level (Class to 5) and Upper Primary Level (Class 6 to 8) in schools and institutions of the state. The minimum educational qualifications required to appear in the REET exam is Class 12th pass of Graduate degree. More details regarding REET would be announced soon on the official website.
