New Exam date for National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2021 announced
National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai has announced the new exam date for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 202. As per the notification released, the examination is now scheduled to be held on August 14, 2021 Earlier the exam was scheduled for June 14 but was postponed due to the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.
Recently the examination authority has extended the last date to register for the examination till July 15, 2021. The interested candidates can visit the official website – nestexam.in to apply for NEST 2021. Candidates with at least 60 per cent marks in class 12 or equivalent are eligible to apply for the exam.
NEST is an entrance exam that is held for admission to the five-year integrated M.Sc program in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics at the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and the department of atomic energy centre for excellence in basic science, University of Mumbai.
NEST 2021 exam is a computer-based test (CBT) consisting of multiple-choice questions. The question paper will consist of 5 (five) sections of objective type questions. The syllabus for NEST 2021 primarily follows the NCERT/CBSE science syllabus of class XI–XII.
