IGNOU Master’s Program in Astrology (Masters of Arts- Jyotish) for July 2021 session

School of Humanities, IGNOU has launched a new program in Astrology called Master of Arts- Jyotish (MAJY) in open distance learning (ODL) mode for the July 2021 Session. Candidates having Graduation or higher degree from recognized university are eligible for admission in this course.

Medium of instruction:  English and Hindi.

Duration of course: 2 Years 

Program offered by: School of Humanities

Fee Structure: Rs. 12,300/- for the full program to be paid year wise @ Rs. 6,300/- per year. Fee to be paid in 1st year, includes Registration Fee of Rs.200/- (Total -Rs.6,500/-).

Objective of the course

The purpose of the Master of Arts degree (Astrology) program is to provide students with the practical life of human beings under Indian oriental science, from time knowledge, planetary motion, solar eclipse, lunar eclipse to the happenings in space based on the opinions of Indian sages. How it happens, provides authentic and detailed knowledge of these facts. 

The students studying in this program will also have knowledge of how astrology is studied in the form of astrology called Vedanga.  Along with providing special knowledge of the concept of astrological mathematics, theory and results in ancient India, students will be provided with complete knowledge of astrology through the study material of this program.
