15% relaxation on attendance to students of classes 10, 12 appearing for Board Exam 2021

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to give 15 percent relaxation on the attendance to students of class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2021. The relaxation of attendance will be specifically implemented on students who have been unable to take the online classes during the Covid-19 lockdown.

As per the notice, the 15 percent of relaxation on attendance will be given to students who are unable to join the online classes due to technical reason and their schools have not been able to provide them with the needed facilities. The relaxation on attendance will apply to students for lockdown and unlock-four (April to September) only.

To appear in the CBSE class 10, 12 board exam 2021, students are needed to have at least 75 percent attendance in school.

The board has allowed the exemption on grounds of technical reasons as the classes are being run in online mode due to the spread of Covid-19.

According to the board, this exemption is only for the 2021 board examination.
