The Union Human Resource Development Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank made announcement on Friday i.e. May 8, 2020 that the pending CBSE Class X and XII Board exams will take place from July 1 to 15, 2020. 

In most parts of the country, the CBSE Board exams of Class X have already taken place. For Class XII, a total of 12 papers for the core subjects are still left. In east Delhi, there are 17 additional papers which were postponed due to violence. These pending papers include six subjects for Class XII and 11 for Class X. The detailed notification regarding the same will be released by CBSE soon. It should be noted that the students of Class X and XII CBSE Board across the country were anxiously waiting for the schedule. 

The exams were postponed due to the announcement of a nationwide lockdown because of COVID- 19 pandemic fears. Now also the country is under the lockdown. It is still not clear when educational institutes will be allowed to function again.
