Commission for Entrance Examinations Kerala announces KEAM 2022 Entrance Test for Admission to Professional Degree Courses 2022

 

KEAM 2022 – The Kerala Commission for Entrance Examinations (CEE) invites applications for KEAM 2022 Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering, Architecture, MBBS, BDS, Ayurveda, Homeo, Siddha, Agriculture Forestry, Veterinary and Fisheries Courses offered in various Professional Colleges in the State of Kerala for the academic session 2022-23

  • Online Application submission: From 06th April 2022 (Wednesday)
  • Last date for submission of Online Application including Fee payment: 30th April 2022, 5.00 PM (Saturday)
  • Last date for Online submission of supporting documents: 10th May 2022 (Tuesday)
  • Downloading Online Admit Cards: From 10th June 2022 (Friday)
  • Date & Time of Engineering Entrance Examination
    • Physics & Chemistry (Paper-I) : July 3, 2022, 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM July 4, 2022
    • Mathematics (Paper-II): July 3, 2022 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM  July 4, 2022
    • Venue of Examination: As indicated in the Admit Card 
  • Declaration of Results: On or before 25th July 2022 

 

KEAM 2022 Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must go through the KEAM Eligibility criteria given below before applying:
  • Nationality: Citizen of India/ Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
  • Nativity: Applicants should be Indian citizens. OCI/ PIO are also eligible to apply. Candidates seeking admission to Professional Degree Courses will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I (NK-I), and Non-Keralite Category II (NK-II).

Academic Qualification

  •  Academic eligibility for admission to various courses is stipulated as per the existing guidelines issued by the Central Councils concerned.

Medical & Medical Allied Courses:

  • Medical courses consist of MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, and BUMS courses, and Medical Allied courses consist of B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture, B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, B.Sc.(Hons)Co-operation & Banking, B.Sc.(Hons) Climate Change & Environmental Science, B.Tech Biotechnology (under (KAU), BVSc. & AH and BFSc. courses.
  • For admission to MBBS, BDS Courses: Candidates who have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent thereto and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible.
  • For admission to BAMS/ BHMS courses: Candidates who have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent thereto and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible.
  • For admission to BSMS course: Candidates who have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent thereto and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible. The candidates should have passed 10th or 12th standard with Tamil as one of the languages or the candidate after being admitted to the BSMS course, shall have to pass the Tamil language course during the first year of their professional degree course. 
  • For admission to BUMS course: Candidates who have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognized equivalent thereto and obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are eligible. The candidates should have passed 10th or 12th standard with Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as a subject or clear the test of Urdu in the Entrance Examinations conducted by University or Board or Registered society authorized by the Govt. to conduct such examination or the Pre-Tib Examination of one-year duration. Candidates who have not passed Urdu or Arabic or Persian language as one of the subjects in the 10th Standard or in 12th Standard shall have to study Urdu language along with Arabic and Mantiq Wa Falsafa (Logic and Philosophy) as a subject during the First Professional BUMS session. 
  • For admission to B.Sc.(Hons.) Agri., B.Sc.(Hons) Forestry, B.Sc (Hons.) Cooperation & Banking, B.Tech Biotechnology (under (KAU), BFSc courses: Candidates who have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together are eligible.
  • For admission to B.Sc.(Hons) Climate Change & Environmental Science: Candidates who have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together are eligible. Candidates should have studied Mathematics as a subject in the Plus Two level.
  • For admission to BVSc. & AH Course: Candidates who have passed in the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology at the qualifying examination and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects are eligible. 

Engineering courses:

  •  [Including B.Tech (Agri. Engg.) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses under Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies].
  • Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry as one of the optional subjects with at least 45% marks put together in the above subjects are eligible for admission. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered. The marks as shown in the mark list of the Board of Examination obtained from the respective Higher Secondary Board shall be considered for academic eligibility. 

Architecture course:

  • a. Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or Examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects or passed 10+3 Diploma Examinations with Mathematics as compulsory subject are eligible for Architecture course.
  • b. In addition to the academic eligibility prescribed under clause 6.2.3 (a), only those candidates who score the minimum eligibility marks as per the Information Brochure of National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2022 will be considered for
  • admission to B. Arch. course. There is no relaxation in the minimum passing score of NATA to any category of candidate as per letter No. CA/5/Academic-NATA dated 11.03.2008. The candidates are advised to qualify in NATA on or before 31.07.2022.
  • c. There is no provision for lateral admission to the second year or at any stage during the 5 year course in Architecture.

B.Pharm course:

  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or Examinations equivalent thereto with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects individually are eligible.

Age Limit

  • Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2022. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit for Engineering, Architecture and B.Pharm Courses. For Medical and Medical Allied courses, the upper age limit will be as per the Information Bulletin of NEET (UG)-2022.

 

KEAM 2022 Application Process

  • Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions as laid down in the Prospectus and who seek admission to any or all of the above-mentioned courses have to apply online through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in
  • Candidates should upload recent Photos, Signatures, Dates of Birth proof, and Nativity proof along with the Online application within the above date.
  • The other eligibility certificates and documents can be submitted up to 21st June 2022 (5.00 pm)

KEAM 2022 Exam Pattern

  • Type of Questions: MCQs
  • No. of Papers: 2 (Physics & Chemistry and Mathematics)
  • Duration: 150 minutes per paper
  • No. of Questions: 120 per paper
  • Maximum Marks: 480
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for correct answers and 1 for the wrong ones
  • Candidates desirous of being considered for any of the Medical & Allied courses including MBBS/BDS will have to write NEET-UG 2022 conducted by the CBSE.
  • Candidates who wish to be considered only for B.Pharm course will have to write Paper-I (Physics & Chemistry) of the Engineering Entrance Exam.

KEAM 2022 Admit Card

  • Admit Cards for the Engineering Entrance Exam can be downloaded from the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in printout of the admit card thus obtained will have to be produced at the time of the exam
  • Admit Cards will not be sent by post from this office to the candidate

 

Exam Centers

  • Entrance Exams will be held at the selected venues in all Districts in the State, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Dubai
