Eligibility Criteria for University of Mysore Distance Education Admission 2019

Under Graduate Programs

BBA

  • Candidates who have successfully passed Class XII (2nd PUC) examination conducted by Pre-University Board or equivalent in any stream (OR) Candidates who have successfully passed 3 years Polytechnic / Diploma Examination or equivalent.

 

B.Com

  • Candidates who have successfully passed Class XII (2nd PUC) examination conducted by Pre-University Board or equivalent in any stream (OR) Candidates who have successfully passed 3 years Polytechnic / Diploma examination or equivalent.

 

B.Sc. IT

  • Candidates who have successfully passed Class XII (2nd PUC) examination conducted by Pre-University Board or equivalent with Mathematics / Statistics / Accountancy as one of the optional subjects (OR) Candidates who have successfully passed 3 years Polytechnic / Diploma examination or equivalent.

 

Post-Graduate Programs

M.A. Kannada

  • B.A./B.Sc./B.A. performing Arts, with Kannada as Major/Optional subject OR Degree with Post-Pre-University Diploma in Kannada OR Pandit Examination of Karnataka Government OR B.Ed. Degree with S.S.L.C. and Vidwat Examination of the University of Madras.

 

M.A. English

  • Students having optional English in B.A./ B.Sc., B.A. Performing Arts / B.A.Ed. (Regional institute of Education) Degree OR Postgraduate Diploma in English of the University or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST & CAT-I) candidates) in aggregate (or); M.A Economics A degree from a recognized University with Economics as a Major/Optional subject. M.A History A degree from a recognized University with History as a Major/Optional subject. M.A Political Science A degree from a recognized University with Political Science as a Major/Optional subject (or); M.A in Sociology A degree from a recognized University with Sociology as a Major/Optional subject

 

M.Com

  • B.Com/B.B.M/B.B.A with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST and Cat-I candidates) in aggregate of this University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

 

M.Sc. IT

  • B.Sc. degree with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the Optional/Any degree with Diploma in Computer Application or BCA or /B.Tech / B.E. in any branch with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST and CAT-I candidates) in aggregate.

 

University of Mysore Distance Education Admission 2018-19 Application Process

  • The eligible candidates can download the application form at www.uni-mysore.ac.in and the filled in application along with a DD of Rs.400/- drawn in favor of Finance Officer, University of Mysore, Mysore shall be submitted to the Office of the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, National Centre for History of Science Building, Manasagangothri, Mysore-570006 on or before 31st December 2018
  • The application should be enclosed with the self attested copies of the relevant documents. At the time of application submission, candidates have to produce all original documents for verification
  • The candidates found to be eligible for admission by the respective selection committee can get admitted by paying the prescribed fee to the general revenue Account No. 54007591471 on or before 31st December 2018
  • Immediately after paying the prescribed fee, the candidates should enroll for the program at the office of the Director, Directorate of Distance Education. However, if the online web portal of the Govt. is not functioning, the candidates are allowed to take provisional admission by paying the mandatory fee of Rs.1000/-
