Mysore University announces Admissions to PG UG Programs under Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode

University of Mysore Distance Education Admission 2020 - Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following programs under Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode as approved by Distance Education Bureau of University Grant Commission for the Academic session 2020.

 

Programs Offered

Under Graduate Programs:

Bachelor of Arts (BA) with six optional subjects

1. Economics, 2. English, 3. History, 4. Kannada, 5. Political Science, 6. Sociology

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)

B.Sc. (Information Technology)

Post-Graduate Programs:

Master of Arts in Kannada (M.A. in Kannada)

Master of Arts in English (M.A in English)

Master of Arts in Economics (M.A in Economics)

Master of Arts in History (M.A in History)

Master of Arts in Political Science (M.A in Political Science)

Master of Arts in Sociology (M.A in Sociology)

Master of Commerce (M.Com)

Master of Science in Information Technology (M.Sc. in IT)

Last Date for submission of  Admission form  (without fine) 

31st January 2020

Last Date for submission of  Admission form  (with a fine of Rs. 200/-)

15th February 2020

 

Eligibility Criteria for University of Mysore Distance Education Admission 2020

Under Graduate Programmes:

BA/BBA/B.Com

Candidates who have successfully passed Class XII (2nd PUC) examination conducted by the Pre-University Board or equivalent in any stream.

Candidates who have successfully passed 3 years Polytechnic / Diploma examination or equivalent

B.Sc. IT

Candidates who have successfully passed  Class XII (2ndPUC) examination conducted by the Pre-University Board or equivalent with Mathematics / Statistics / Accountancy as one of the optional subjects.

Candidates who have successfully passed 3 years Polytechnic / Diploma examination or equivalent

Post-Graduate Programmes:

M.A. Kannada

B.A./B.Sc./B.A. performing Arts, with Kannada as Major/Optional subject

Degree with Post-Pre-University Diploma in Kannada OR Pandit Exam of Karnataka Government OR B.Ed. Degree with S.S.L.C. and Vidwat Exam of the University of Madras

M.A English

Students having optional English in B.A./ B.Sc., B.A. Performing Arts / B.A.Ed. (Regional Institute of Education) Degree

Postgraduate Diploma in English of the University or equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST and Cat-I) candidates) in aggregate

M.A in Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology

A degree from a recognized University with Economics/History/Political Science /Sociology as a Major/Optional subject.

M.Com

B.Com/B.B.M/B.B.A with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST and Cat-I candidates) in aggregate of this University or any other University considered as equivalent thereto.

M.Sc. IT

B.Sc. degree with Computer Science or Mathematics as one of the Optional / Any degree with Diploma in Computer Application.

BCA or / B.Tech / B.E. in any branch with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of SC / ST and Cat-I candidates) in aggregate.

University of Mysore Distance Education Admission 2020 Application Process

Eligible candidates can download the application form from the official website www.uni-mysore.ac.in

Filled in application form and self attested copies of the relevant documents along with a DD of Rs. 400/- drawn in favor of Finance Officer, University of Mysore, Mysuru should be submitted to the Office of the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, NCHS Building, Manasagangothri, Mysuru– 570006.

At the time of application submission, candidates have to produce all original documents for verification.
