GNDU Amritsar Distance Education Admission 2018

GNDU Distance Education Admission 2018 - Admissions are open for session 2018-19 under for Director Directorate of Open and Distance Learning. Candidates can opt for different courses under UG /PG Degree Courses and Diploma /PG Diploma Courses.

GNDU

  • Admission to all the courses offered under Directorate of Open and Distance Learning, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar at its Regional Campuses, Colleges and Constituent Colleges, shall be made on the basis of Merit of Last Qualification Examination
  • For admission in various courses the admission criteria is different for different courses. Candidates are advised before the filling the application form must read the information or information bulletin carefully

  • Start of Date of Registration: 03rd Jul 2018
  • Filling of Application Form & Fee Submission: 09th Jul 2018
  • Last Date of Admission without Late Fee: 06th August 2018
  • Admission with Late Fee of Rs.50/-: 07th to 16th August 2018
  • Admission with Late Fee of Rs.100/- (subject to approval of the Dean, Academic Affairs): 17th to 31st August 2018
  • Admission with Late Fee of Rs.500/- (subject to approval of the Vice-Chancellor): 01st to 07th September 2018

Courses with Eligibility

  • B.Lib Course = Must have passed BA/B.Sc./B.Com. or MA/M.Sc./M.Com. with 50% marks or equivalent examination
  • B.Sc. (IT) /BCA /B.Com = +2 with at least 40% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination
  • MBA = Bachelor/Master Degree in any disciplines or equivalent examination with 50% marks in aggregate
  • MCA = BBA/B.Com/B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics or Graduate in any stream with Mathematics /Statistics/Computer Applications/IT /Computer Maintenance /Quantitative Techniques as one of the elective subjects with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate or any equivalent degree there to.
  • OR
  • Bachelor's Degree in any stream with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Mathematics as an elective subject at +2 level
  • MA (Hindi, Punjabi, English, Political Science)
  • Bachelor's Degree in any Faculty with 50% marks in aggregate (Or) 45% marks in the subject concerned or equivalent exam (Or) Master's Degree of this or another University in another subject or another faculty
  • For MA Music (Vocal, Instrumental and Dance) exam, only regular candidates shall be eligible

Provided that:

  • For Economics, a person, who has passed the B.Com Examination with 45% marks in the subject of Economics shall also eligible
  • For Political Science and History Course, a person who has passed B.A. with 45% marks in Public Administration or Sociology, shall also be eligible
  • For Public Administration Course, a person who has passed B.A. with 45% marks in Public Administration or Political Science or history or Economics or Sociology shall also be eligible
  • For Philosophy Course, a person who has passed B.A. with 45% marks in Psychology shall also be eligible
  • For M.A. Hindi Course, a person who has passed B.A. with 45% marks in Sanskrit (Elective) shall be eligible. A candidate who has passed 3 years Shastri exams shall also be eligible for admission to MA Hindi /Sanskrit
  • Diploma in Communication Skills = +2 of P.S.E.B or any Board equivalent thereto
  • PG Diploma in Drug Regulatory Affairs = Graduate with 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination
  • PG Diploma in Computer Application = Graduate with 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination

Fee /Security

  • If a candidates does not join the course and surrenders the seats after getting admission slip, the fee and funds deposited by such a candidate will be refunded after deducting process charges of Rs.2000/-
  • A candidate who joins the course/class, may be even for one day, and surrenders the seat in writing will be refunded tuition fee and funds after deducting fee and funds for three months
  • Before the completion of admission process, if a candidate is allotted to shift from one general course to another general course (under ODL Mode only), fee and fund deposited by him/her will be adjusted after charging Rs.5000/- (for each shifting) as shifting fee

  • Candidates are advised before the filling the application form must read the information or information bulletin carefully
  • This Prospectus includes only the basic and important information regarding the admission and examination of the courses offered by the University under Open and Distance Learning Mode. For detailed information, the student may consult Prospectus 2018-19 and Directorate of Open and Distance Learning
  • The student may keep in touch with the website http://gndu.ac.in/ or http://odl.gndu.ac.in for latest information regarding any change in rules and regulation, dates/time/venue of conselling or admission schedule

Important Note

  • One-time Application Fee (Non-Refundable) of Rs.500/- (for General Category) and Rs.250/- (for SC/ST Category) will be chargeable to Students applying for admission for various courses offered by "The Directorate of Open and Distance Learning for session 2018-19"
The Applicant can pay Application Fee by using "Pay Application Fee option under the Application Form" menu through Debit Card /Credit Card /Net Banking
