BRAOU Hyderabad announces Admission Entrance Test-2018 for B.Ed. & B.Ed. (SE) ODL Program

BRAOU B.Ed Entrance Test 2019 - Dr B.R Ambedkar Open University invites online applications for Admission into B.Ed. and B.Ed. (Special Education) Programs through Entrance Test for the academic year 2019-20.

BRAOU B.Ed Entrance Test 2019 Important Dates

  • Commencement of Submission of Online Application Forms: 8th April 2019
  • Last date for Payment of fee and Submission of online Application Forms: 8th May 2019
  • Download of Hall Tickets from the University Website: 23rd of May 2019
  • Date & of Entrance Test
    • B.Ed.: 2nd June 2019 (10.30am to 12.30pm)
    • B.Ed.(SE): 2nd June 2019 (2.00pm to 4.00pm)

 

Eligibility Criteria for BRAOU B.Ed Admission 2019

B.Ed.- ODL (Recognised by NCTE)[Duration 2 years]

  • The candidate should be an Indian citizen
  • Candidates should have passed with at least 50% of marks either BA/B.Sc./B.Com./BCA/B.Sc. (Home Science)/BBM and/or the Masters Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/Humanities /Sciences (relevant subject of Methodology) at the time of submitting the application for B.Ed. Entrance Test
  • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% marks in B.E/B. Tech. with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission into the B.Ed. ODL Program.
  • However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Candidates who are appearing for final year exam in the Qualifying Exam (Bachelor or a Higher Degree) can also apply. However, they should be required to submit the marks memo and pass certificate of Qualifying Exam at the time of Admission Counselling. Otherwise, they are not allowed for admission.
  • Apart from the above, the candidates must fulfil any one of the following conditions as per NCTE-2014 New Regulations
  • Should be Trained in-service teachers in elementary Education. (NCTE recognised Teacher training completed in-service Teachers in elementary education i.e. working in Govt/Aided/ MPP/ZPP/Govt. Recognised schools)
  • Should have completed NCTE recognised Teacher Education Program through face-to-face mode (TTC/D.Ed./D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed./TPT/HPT/UPT/B.P.Ed./D.P.Ed.-Qualification is must)

Age Limit

  • Candidate should have completed 21 years as on 01st July 2019; no upper age limit (The reservation for SC/ST/BC/PH categories shall be as per the rules in force)

Tuition Fee

  • Rs.25000/- to be paid at the time of Admission for the entire program of two years

 

Syllabus for B.Ed Entrance Test

  • The Entrance Test Question Paper will have 3 parts for 100 Marks with 100 Objective type (Multiple Choice) questions.
    • Part-I: General English Comprehension (25 Marks)
    • Part-II: Proficiency in Telugu ( 25 Marks)
    • Part-III: General Mental Ability ( 50 Marks)

B.Ed. (SE)-ODL (Recognised by RCI) [Duration 2 ½ years]

  • The Candidate should be an Indian Citizen
  • Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor's Degree (BA/B.Sc./B.Com./BCA/ B.Sc. (Home Science)/ BBM) and/or in the Masters Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce (relevant subject of Methodology) are eligible
  • B.E/B. Tech. with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the program
  • However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying exam
  • Candidates who are appearing for final year exam in Qualifying Exam (Bachelor or a Master’s Degree) can also apply. But they are required to submit the Marks Memo and Passé Certificate (Provisional Certificate) of the Qualifying Exam at the time admission. Otherwise they are not allowed for admission

  • Choose the area of specialization in your B.Ed. (SE) Program, while submitting the registration form:
  • Visual Impairment (VI)
  • Mental Retardation (MR)
  • Hearing Impairment (HI)

Tuition Fee

  • Rs.30000/- for the entire program of two and half years (i.e. 5 Semesters). Candidate is permitted to pay Fee in two instalments
  • The first instalment of Rs.15000 has to be paid at the time of Admission and the Second Instalment of Rs.15000 has to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft on the first instructional day (Workshop) of 3rd Semester

Syllabus for B.Ed. (SE) Entrance Test

  • The Entrance Test Question Paper will have 2 parts for 100 Marks with 100 Objective type (Multiple Choice) questions.
    • Part-A: General English Comprehension (40 Marks)
    • Part-B: General Mental Ability: Logical & Analytical Reasoning: Verbal & Abstract Reasoning (60 Marks)

BRAOU B.Ed Entrance Test 2019 Application Process

  • Information booklet can be downloaded from the www.braou.ac.in and www.braouonline.in
  • Candidates need to register at www.braouonline.in only and pay the fee of Rs.400/- by Debit/Credit card through university portal OR pay an amount of Rs.435/- at any TS /AP Online Franchise Centre and obtain the receipt
  • Candidate will have to choose the Exam Centre [i.e., any one of the Regional Coordination Centres (RCC) of the University] as per their choice to appear for the Entrance test

  • Registration Fee for B.Ed. - Rs.435/- (Payment through TS/AP Online) or Rs.400/- (Payment through Debit /Credit Card)

Hall Ticket

  • Candidates are advised to download the Hall Tickets from the University website www.braouonline.in. Hall Tickets will be available in the University website two days prior to the Entrance Examination.
