Admission to Self-financing Courses- M.C.A., M.Sc.(IT)and M.Sc.(C.S.) Courses

 

The Department of Computer Science offers following Courses/Programs:

1.      M.Sc. (I.T.) – Two year (Four Semester) Program

2.      M.Sc. (C.S.) – Two year (Four Semester) Program

3.      M.C.A. – Three year (Six Semester) Program

 

Master of Science (Information Technology) M.Sc.(I.T.) – Two year (Four Semester) Program

Name of Course	Eligibility
M.Sc.(I.T.)               (Four Semester)  Lucknow University	B.Sc. (Computer Science/ Computer Application/Information Technology) or B.C.A. of minimum three year duration with a minimum of 50% marks and Mathematics as one of the subject at Intermediate/Higher Secondary (i.e., 10+2) level.

ADMISSION  PROCESS : The admission shall be done on the basis of combined score of Entrance Test (50 marks), merit index (High School-10 marks, Intermediate/Higher Secondary (i.e., 10+2) level- 20 marks, Graduation- 70 marks) and comprehensive total of all these evaluations will be 150 marks only.

There shall be no weightage of any P.G. Degree/Diploma. The existing reservation rules of the University shall apply in admitting the students to this course.

Question Paper pattern for Entrance Examination (50 Marks)

PART-A : 50 Questions -> multiple choice questions based on logical reasoning, Numerical Aptitude and English comprehension.

PART-B : 50 Questions  -> multiple choice Questions based on BCA/B.Sc. Computer Science syllabus

M.C.A.                 (Six Semester) Lucknow University	B.Sc. (Computer Science/ Computer Application/Information Technology) or B.C.A. of minimum three year duration with a minimum of 50% marks and Mathematics as one of the subject at Intermediate/Higher Secondary (i.e., 10+2) level.

ADMISSION  PROCESS : The admission shall be done on the basis of combined score of Entrance Test (50 marks), merit index (High School-10 marks, Intermediate/Higher Secondary (i.e., 10+2) level- 20 marks, Graduation- 70 marks) and comprehensive total of all these evaluations will be 150 marks only.

Application form

The Application form will be available at the website from which it can be downloaded as well as it can be obtained from the Cashier’s office of the University of Lucknow, at a nominal price of Rs. 20/-.

The fee of admission test is Rs. 600/-, which is to be paid by the candidate at the time of submission of the filled form in every respect.

The Application Test Fee is to paid by the candidate by making a demand draft in favour of “Finance Officer, University of Lucknow”.

Details like fee-structure, number of seats, admission criteria are included herewith of various programs respectively.

Note: As Post graduate programs like M.Sc.(I.T.), M.Sc.(C.S.), M.C.A. are professional courses which focus on Computer Science, Information & Communication technologies and Advanced computer concepts. The minimum eligibility criteria is B.Sc. (Computer Science/ Computer Application/Information Technology) or B.C.A. of minimum three year duration with a minimum of 50% marks and Mathematics as one of the subject at Intermediate/Higher Secondary (i.e., 10+2) level. So the Admission test must be conducted as per the requirements available in the annexure given.
