The admissions shall be made on the basis of rank obtained in the entrance test for 100 seats in each college. The percentage of admissions into the five methodologies are as follows.
Mathematics (MS) 25%; Physical Sciences (PS) 10%; Biological Sciences ( BS) 20%; Social Studies (SS) 35%; English 10%
Venue: Office of the Directorate of Admissions (New Building), Near PGRR Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University Campus, Hyderabad-500007
Date of counseling: 11th March, 2012, Sunday
Fee Particulars: All candidates including BC/SC/ST Rs 21,000/-
The total fee must be paid immediately on the day of counselling
Fee should be paid by demand draft in favour of the Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University, payable at Hyderabad
Arrangements are being made at the venue for obtaining demand draft for the required fee
The second and final phase of counselling for left over vacancies, if any plus the vacancies that may arise due to possible conversions will be conducted on 18th March, 2012 at the same venue at 9.30 a.m.
No separate intimations will be sent regarding this
Candidates are required to bring the following original certificates alongwith two sets of Xerox copies, two photographs and necessary fee

The candidate seeking admission into B.Ed (distance mode) has to satisfy the following conditions; Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree serving in a recognized Primary/Elementary/Secondary/Senior Secondary School and having at least two years experience of school teaching at any of the above level are eligible for admission to the course
Osmania University will admit only those candidates who are working in schools located in the territorial jurisdiction assigned to it by the University Act
Candidates shall have to produce a certificate of service from the Head of the institution/Employer and self declaration of the service
The candidate should submit no objection certificate from the present employer
The working experience of two years should be completed as on the date of admission into B.Ed (distance mode) programme
Transfer certificate from the institution where the candidate last studied
If the candidate is pursuing any course, he/she must submit a proof of admission (certificate issued by the Head of the Institution)
Original certificate (or provisional certificate if the original is not yet issued as per rules) of qualifying degree examination
Consolidated memorandum of marks of the qualifying degree examination
Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.)
Proof of Local/Non-local status of the candidate according to rules in force
Those who have studied Intermediate and degree courses as regular students need to submit only study certificates from the respective colleges
In case, the candidates have studied four consecutive years preceding the qualifying examination in more than one local area, he/she has to submit study certificates of 9th and 10th classes also
In case of private study or a break in the studies during four/seven years preceding the qualifying examination, a residence certificate from MRO must be submitted
In case of non-local candidates a residence certificate from MRO or employment certificate of parents or other certificates as a proof of their non-local status, must be submitted
Relevant original certificates in respect of candidates called for admission against NCC/Children of Armed Personnel (CAP)/Physically Handicapped/Sports and Games
The certificates obtained during qualifying exam alone are considered for NCC/Sports/Games
The candidates, who fail to submit the certificates in original/proof of admission in this academic year in other institutions or fail to pay the fee on the spot, will not be considered for admission
Fee once paid, will not be refunded
If any candidate fails to attend the spot admission as per the given schedule when he/she is called for admission, he/she forfeits the claim for admission to the course
More number of candidates are called for spot admission to fill up all the seats
Therefore, mere attendance at the spot admission does not guarantee a seat
The genuineness or otherwise of the social status claim of the candidates seeking admission under SC/BC categories shall be verified by the Director of Social Welfare/Director of Backward Classes of
Govt of Andhra Pradesh, respectively, whose decision in this regards will be final
The admissions to the seats reserved for SC/BC shall be deemed provisional till the genuineness of the social status of the candidates is verified by the respective authorities cited above
In the case of ST candidates, they should get their status verified by the Director of Tribal Welfare, Govt of Andhra Pradesh, Telugu Samkshema Bhavan, Masab Tank, Hyderabad-20 before attending the spot admission, if necessary
