BCA Full Form
The Full form of BCA is Bachelors in Computer Application. BCA is a 3 year undergraduate program in Computer applications. Bachelor in Computer Application is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT sector. The duration of the course is 3 years; each year consists of 2 semesters which makes a total of 6 semesters. This degree course is offered by many universities and institutes in India. It is considered equivalent to B.Tech/B.E in Computer Science. It comprises of the subjects like database, data structure, networking, core programming languages like ‘C’ and ‘java’. This course provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in computer field and wants to work in the IT sector as programmer or software developer. The main objective of the course is to provide a sound knowledge in key areas of computer science. Minimum Educational qualification required to apply for this course is 10+2 from a recognized board. Along with this, some universities conduct their own entrance test to get admission in this course. After the completion of BCA, It is preferred to pursue an MCA degree for better career prospects. After that you can work as a Software developer, database administrator, Network administrator, Web developer Trainer or Teacher etc.
