JEE Main 2019 Registration will start from Sept 1, 2019. The registration process for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) 2019 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from first week of September on its official website, which is nta.ac.in
JEE (Main) to be held twice a year:
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) will be conducted twice in a year and will be held in online mode from 2019 as per the announcement made by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister, Prakash Javadekar last month.
JEE Mains Exam Schedule for January and April 2019
For January exam:
Online submissions of application forms: September 1- September 30, 2018
Examination dates: January 6 – January 20, 2019
For April exam:
Online submissions of application forms: Second week of Feb 2019
Examination dates: April 7 – April 21, 2019
JEE (Main) Syllabus:
The Syllabus of JEE Mains will remains the same as of previous years and also the exam cost for the JEE Mains will remain unaffected as per the Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister. Also, the question papers will be different for each day and may vary from candidate to candidate.
NTA to use highly secured IT software for JEE Mains 2019 examination to use:
To ensure delivery of tests just in time, National Testing Agency(NTA) will be using the highly secured IT software and encryption. This will ensure no leakages and other malpractices. Further, a network of test practice centres will be established by the NTA for students of rural areas so that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam. Schools/ engineering colleges having the facility of computer centres would be identified and kept open on Saturday/Sunday starting from the third week of August. This facility will be free of charge for any student.
A candidate can avail a maximum number of three attempts at JEE(Main). Paper 1 (BE/BTech) of JEE (Main) 2019: This examination will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. online (Computer Based Examination) mode and offline (Pen and Paper Based Examination) mode. Paper 2 (B. Arch/B. Planning) of JEE (Main) 2019: This will be conducted only in offline (Pen and paper based Examination) mode.
Selection procedure for admission to IIT:
Students will be allotted colleges on the basis of these two written exams ie.
JEE (Mains) and JEE Advanced exam.All those candidates who have successfully cleared the JEE (Mains) will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam round.
Languages for JEE Mains exam:
The papers will be conducted in English and Hindi mediums, whereas in Gujarat, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the paper will also be conducted in Gujarati.
