JEE Competitive Exam 2018 (Admission in 1st year BE B.Tech. Degree Courses)

JEECE 2018 - Departments of Govt. of Jharkhand, the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board would be conducting the Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination 2018, for the academic session 2018-19

This entrance test is being conducted for the admission in first year degree level professional courses like Engineering and Other same type of courses within the Jharkhand State of Outside of the State Universities/College/Institutions where there is a need Recommendation to State

Recommendation will be based on Merit-cum-Choice basis prepared from J.E.E.C.E. 2018 Merit List

Important Dates

  • Submission of Online Application Form start from 16th April 2018
  • Last Date for Submission of Application Form: 10th May 2018
  • Date of Exam: 26th May 2018 (Saturday)


General Instructions

  • Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam will be governed by the rules and regulations specified by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, Ranchi, All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi etc.
  • Board reserves the right to withdraw permission, if any, granted inadvertently to any Applicant who is not eligible to appear in the JEECE - 2018 even though the Roll No. and Admit Card has been issued by the Board


Eligibility Criteria

Residential Criteria:

  • The applicant must be a citizen of India and Local/Permanente resident of Jharkhand. The Local Resident of Jharkhand has been defined and identified 7/Aa. Niti (Sarvdaliaye Baithak) 27/2002 (Khand) ka - 3198, date 18-4-2016 "Personal, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Dept." Govt. of Jharkhand

Educational Criteria

  • Engineering: The candidates must have passed I.Sc. /10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry subject and; has obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together


Age Criteria

  • B.E. /B.Tech. No maximum/minimum age limit

Physical Criteria

  • Medical Check-up of Applicants recommended for admission in all courses will be done by the Board and/or institutions and after check-up only, fit applicant will treated as eligible for admission

Reservation of Caste Basis

  • Up-to-date preselling reservation policy of Govt. of Jharkhand will be followed in all courses of Govt. and Non-Govt. Institutes. But Applicants claiming against reserved seat will have to submit/show Caste certificate in proper format in Original at the time of counselling, issued by competent authority (Sub Divisional Officer - Civil or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State)


Pattern of the Entrance Test

Scoring of J.E.E.C. - 2018

  • PCM - Subject Physics - 50 Questions
  • Chemistry - 50 Questions
  • Mathematics - 50 Questions
  • Objective type (four options with single correct answer)

Scoring and Marking

  • Each question carries 01 mark. For each correct response the Applicant will get 1 mark. For each incorrect response, 1/4 marks will be deducted from the total score. No dedication from the total score will, however be made if no response is indicated for a question in the answer sheet


Language of the Questions

  • Question Paper consists of both English and Hindi Language
  • In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, it English version shall be treated as final


Subject Group for J.E.E.C.E. - 2018

  • P.C.M. Group - An Applicant who has passed or is appearing in I.Sc. /10+2 or equivalent exam with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and is interested in appearing in the Competitive Examination with Physic, Chemistry and Mathematics then he/she will be called PCM Group


Syllabus of Test

  • The questions papers for the examination shall be based on a common syllabus notified by the CBSE for Class 12th. Board's website can also be referred for information about syllabus


Centre for Test

  • The J.E.E.C. 2018 will be conducted at Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad


Application Form

  • Applicant may be applying for J.E.E.C.E. - 2018 by online only
  • Online - By accessing the "Online Application for J.E.E.C.E. - 2018" on the home page of the Boards official website i.e. https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in
  • Before applying through Online Method, get ready with Marks Sheet of Intermediate / 10+2, Scanned Images of Photos, Signature and Left-Hand thumb impression
  • Instructions of submitting online application, payment of fee and computer-generated application form printouts as mentioned in the information bulletin


Fee Details

  • SC/ST /Female of all Categories - Rs. 450/-
  • General /BC - I /BC - II - Rs.900/-
  • After submitting all the information, examination fee can be remitted through Payment Gateway through Credit Card/ Debit Card /Net Banking, Service Charges will be borne by the Applicant on using Credit Card / Debit Card /Net Banking


Admit Card

  • The JCECE Board will provide the facility for downloading online Admit Card of JEECE 2018 from the Board Website. Applicants are required to download the Online Admit Card from the website and follow the instructions given therein
  • Applicants may please note that Admit Cards will not be send by post. The Online Admit Card can be downloaded by accessing ADMIT CARD column on the Board's Official Website
  • The Applicants are advised to download their Admit Card from Board's Website Only
