Jain University, Bangalore has invited applications for 4 years full time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Program for the academic year 2018 through JET is a Scholarship Entrance Exam which is conducted for the admission of the qualified candidates into 4 years full time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Program for the academic year 2018


Jain Entrance Test (JET) 2018

  • Jain University has released the JET 2018 application form in online mode on 06th Nov. 2017
  • Entrance Exam of JET 2018 will be conducted by Jain University on 22nd April 2018 in both Offline & Online Mode for admission to B. Tech Programs offered by the University
  • Candidates planning to appear in JET 2018 will have to apply for the exam by filling the application form and submitting it on or before the last date which is yet to be notified

B. Tech Programs

  • B Tech Programs are offered in following categories:
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Information Science and Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering


Eligibility Criteria

  • The eligibility criteria of JET 2018 include certain parameters on the basis of which candidates will be considered for the entrance exam, otherwise not. Candidates can check JET eligibility criteria 2018 from the following points:
  • In order to be eligible for the B.Tech Program, students must have passed in PCMB/PCMC/ PCME in PUC or ISC/CBSE or equivalent board. Only candidates who have achieved 60% and above PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam are eligible
  • In case of SC/ST, eligibility will be relaxed to the extent of 5%. However, the final selection will be based on merit only. IB students should get 30 credits to qualify for the course. Provisional admission will be given on predicted scores. However, the actual score should be as per eligibility standards of the University
  • Students who failed to get the required credits his / her admission stands to be cancelled. Cambridge students must study 2 or 3 subjects at advanced level
  • Candidates who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply
  • Applicants should have completed 12 years of formal schooling in order to apply for the program. Admission will be offered based on scores secured in JET 2018


  • Candidates scoring below 60% in 10+2 or equivalent exams may not be eligible for completion of Admission through JET


Admission Process

  • Once your application has been reviewed, the Admissions Office will conduct the Jain Entrance Test according to the schedule


JET Exam Pattern 2018

  • The exam pattern of JET 2018 will be prescribed by the university for the candidates
  • JET 2018 exam pattern includes type, number and pattern of the questions along with exam mode, language, total number of questions, marking scheme and time allotted to complete the exam
  • The JET 2018 exam pattern has been compiled in the table given below to be referred by candidates.
  • The written test will consist of 4 sections (total 120 marks)
  • Section 1: English - 30 marks
  • Section 2: Physics - 30 marks
  • Section 3: Chemistry - 30 marks
  • Section 4: Mathematics - 30 marks

Counselling Process (Allotment of Branch)

  • The allotment of branch of engineering is based on the candidate's performance in JET 2018 and the preferences indicated in the application form
  • Applicants will be intimated about the branch allotted to them through selection letters via e-mail
  • The decision of the Admissions Committee in allotting the branch to the candidates will be final


Final Decision

  • On completion of the counseling process the admission committee will review your application along with the branch opted in the counseling process and a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to all successful candidates



  • Phase I: Jain University offers scholarship to meritorious top rank holders who fulfill the criteria decided by the admission committee
  • Phase II: The scholarship will be a tuition fee waiver on a percentage basis of 12/PUC or any equivalent and will not cover living cost. If the student loses interest in academic work and performs below par or fails to put in requisite attendance, he /she will forfeit the scholarship from that year

  • Completing your Application - Applicants are responsible for submitting completed applications. If we receive an incomplete application, it will be scrutinized on the basis of the information provided
