From 2015, GATE score validity increased to 3 years
GATE Exam validity increased to 3 years – Starting from 2015 GATE Exam
Students appearing for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will be witness to some significant changes this year, as the validity of the scores has been increased from the existing two years to three years.
GATE 2015 application online through GOAPS – no need for submitting hard copies
Also from this year onwards, there will no requirement of submitting the hard copy to the concerned authorities and all the applications will be made online through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). There are also some changes in the scoring formula and the examination will be conducted through the online Computer Based Test (CBT) for all the 21 papers for the 2015 GATE.
It is being argued that the decision to increase the validity by one year is a good decision as it will provide the M.Tech courses added perspective and time frame also this would enable the students to appear for examination in the final year of engineering and then work for two years and use the score in the third year for admission to M.Tech courses.
