The e-admit cards for the forthcoming UPSC Engineering Services (IES) Exams 2014 are available for download now. Scheduled to be held on June 20, 2014, the examination will help handpick deserving candidates for various posts in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics &Telecommunication jobs under the Government of India.
The UPSC IES 2014 e-admit cards were made available on June 02, 2014. Candidates can download it by visiting the official download link at: https://upscadmitcard.nic.in/main.aspx.
However, the UPSC has made it clear that “Mere issuance of E-Admission certificate does not imply that a candidate’s candidature has been cleared by the Commission.” This means, candidates will be evaluated on various fronts before they can make it to the final selection.
There are 582 vacancies in total, out of which 24 are reserved for physically handicapped candidates.
The IES 2014 exam will be conducted over a period of three days and 1000 marks will be allotted to the written paper comprising two parts – Part I and Part II. There are two conventional and three objective papers in the examination. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions, but 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
