UGC NET 2015 is just a few days away, but the CBSE is yet to declare the results of the last iteration of the exam used for handpicking teachers and junior research fellowship for Indian universities and colleges.

NET 2014 was conducted on December 28, 2014 whereas NET 2015 is scheduled to be held on June 17. According to available reports, nearly 50,000 students from Punjab had appeared in NET 2014. However, because of the delay in the declaration of results – that too when the next iteration of the exam only a couple of weeks away – many of these candidates are concerned for their future. That’s because most of the universities and colleges in the state have already begun filling their vacancies before the commencement of the next academic season.
Meanwhile, affected by the uncertainty over the results, many students who had applied for the June 2015 exam are yet to get their admission card and still have no clue about their designated examination centers. The University Grants Commission handed over the responsibility of conducting the NET exam to CBSE last year.
The delay in announcement of the results has also resulted in many aspiring teachers missing their interview with government and private college. “It is an unfortunate thing that next exam are coming closer and the CBSE has failed in its duties. I have checked my answers keys and I am hopeful that I will clear the the December exam. But this unnecessary delay has been creating uncertainty among students. They are being forced to take the exam again,” said one affected student who appeared in NET 2014, as reported by the Hindustan Times
