The result of UGC National Eligibility Test January 2017 is expected to be released by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 10. The result is delayed due to various competitive exams results in the pipeline to be declared by CBSE.
In the last week, a lot of rumours were reported about the suspension of the UGC NET exam. However, the UGC has cleared that the UGC NET 2017 exam will be conducted by the CBSE once a year.
The result of UGC NET January 2017 has already been delayed and a lot of rumours about the delay in result. However, the reasons for the delay in result are not clear as reported by India.com. The CBSE officials are silent about the delay or any other information about the UGC NET result.
According to some sources, the possible reason for delay in UGC NET result may be the backlog of exam conducted by CBSE, which the board is trying to clear out.
CBSE is the examination conducting body for multiple exams like JEE main, Central Teachers Eligibility Test, UGC NET, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and class 10 and class 12 board exams. CBSE is overburdened by various exams in the pipeline to be conducted, due to which the UGC NET January 2017 results are delayed.
