Registration process ends on September 30 for UGC NET December 2018

UGC NET 2018 Last Date for Online Registration: National Testing Agency (NTA) will be Conducting UGC NET 2018 from 9th to 23rd December 2018 on behalf of University Grant Commission (UGC) to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research fellowship and Eligibility for assistant professor in various Indian Colleges and Universities. The Registration Process for the UGC NET 2018 was started on September 1st 2018 on the official website of NTA www.ntanet.nic.in
Last Date for Online Registration for UGC NET 2018 is September 30, 2018.
The UGC NET 2018 December admit cards will be available for download from the NTA official website www.ntanet.nic.in from November 19. The examination is scheduled to be conducted from December 9 to 23, 2018 in 84 subjects at 91 selected cities

UGC NET 2018 Exam Pattern

UGC NET December 2018 will comprise of two papers which will be organized in two shifts

  • Paper I – 100 Marks – 50 Questions – 1 Hour


  • First Shift – 9:30am to 10:30 am


    • Second Shift – 2pm to 3pm
    • The questions will be based on general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate
  • Paper II – 200 Marks – 100 Questions – 2 Hours


  • First Shift – 11am to 1pm


    • Second Shift – 3:30pm to 5:30pm
    • The questions will be will be based on the subject opted by the candidate. All the questions of Paper–II will be compulsory
    • For each correct response the candidate will get 2 marks. There are no negative marks for incorrect response. No marks will be given for unanswered/marked for review questions.
    • Syllabi for all NET subjects can be downloaded from the UGC website: www.ugc.ac.in/ net/syllabus.aspx and are also available in the libraries of all Indian Universities.

The UGC NET 2018 December Results will be declared on NTA’s website by January 10, 2019
