Central Board of School Education (CBSE) has issued pre-examination activities for schools for ensuring smooth conduct of the annual examinations. CBSE has made available certain pre-examination activities for download.
Professor Zamiruddin, Convener, Guardian’s Guild also pointed out the role played by parents and the authorities responsible for planning the syllabi of school children. He added that many parents and school authorities wanted their children to mug up everything in the initial years.
Since last year, the central board had started supplying question papers online with the help of special software. The download facility commences about one week before the SA-1. Since, all the schools start the process almost at the same time, the increased load on the server ultimately resulted in slower functioning of the software.
The decision was taken by CBSE as a special case so as to save the concerned students from losing on a year. As per the circular released on the official site the students who could not score well in the exams of SA II in April which ultimately affected their year-end results would get a third chance by July.
