The Central Board of Secondary Education had introduced the grading system back in 2010 for the schools associated with the board. The students had been provided with the option of choosing the internal marking system, known as the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), in case they wanted to continue with the school after Class X. While doing so, the external board exams were restricted to only those who were interested in moving to another school.
In a recent press release, it was conveyed that unsuccessful candidates can now seek admission under Stream-2 of NIOS and can appear in the October examination. Their results will also be declared in the first week of December of the same year.
