AICTE will be conducting Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT 2017 exam), in January 2017. GPAT is a computer based exam which will be held on 28th and 29th January 2017.
Telangana state may observe a reduction in the number of engineering seats, as 41 private engineering colleges in the state have approached the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for permission to shut down.
Many private educational institutions, including engineering colleges and business schools operating with the All India Council for Technical Education’s (AICTE) approval will have to lower their fee structure. The AICTE made it mandatory to implement proposals of the National Fee Committee, which was formed in 2014 to prescribe fee guidelines for technical institutions. The AICTE chairman directed all the states to put into practice proposals in the report from the next academic session.

GPAT is conducted for facilitating institutions to select suitable students for admission in postgraduate Pharmacy programs approved by AICTE for the academic year 2016-17.
