Supreme Court says no change in NEET 2017 schedule

NEET PG 2017 Entrance Exam

NEET to be held as per schedule on May 7: Supreme Court

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be held as per the schedule on May 7, 2017. The Supreme Court rejected the plea to change the date of NEET 2017. The examination will be conducted on the scheduled date May 7.
Several students had filed petitions in the Supreme Court to postpone the date of NEET 2017 exam as the class 12 CBSE and UP board exams will end in the last week of April hardly getting any time for preparation of NEET.
The petitioners stated highlighted that the last exam of UP Board is scheduled on April 21 and that of CBSE is on April 29. The NEET exam which is the single medical entrance exam is scheduled to be held on May 7.
Earlier, the medical aspirants had the option of state medical entrance exams but now they have to qualify NEET, otherwise they may lose an academic year.
Earlier, several students also moved the Supreme Court to cancel the 25 years age limit. The Court scrapped the 25 years upper age limit for NEET.
