Counselling will give these students an opportunity to lock the course and institutes of their choice. The demand for dual degree course has also increased among the students. Like every year, the students are showing interest towards subjects like Computer Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical and Civil Engineering courses.
The students are opting mostly for IIT-Mumbai, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Madras, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Roorkee, IIT-BHU and IIT-Guhawati and IIT-Kharagpur. Thereafter students are giving preference to the other IITs that have been newly constituted including IIT-Gandhinagar, IIT-Mandi, IIT-Ropar to name a few. The seat allotments will be announced on July 2.
On the other hand, the students have been asked to report to IITs offered to them on July 20 and 21 and the classes will start from July 27.
