The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for 2015 will be conducted in January and February next year. The GATE 2015 online registration has been extended from October 01 to October 14.
This year’s GATE will be organized and conducted by IIT Kanpur. IIT-K on their website for GATE 2015 and official notification mentioned that owing to the devastating flood situation in the areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the last date for the GATE 2015 on-line application submission has been extended.
The validity of the GATE score is three years, after the announcement of result.
1) Examinations for all the 22 papers will be conducted by an online Computer Based Test (CBT). The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed in by the candidate using the virtual keypad
2) Biometric information (Photograph and Fingerprints) for randomly selected candidates may be captured before the start of the exam
3) GATE 2015 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between January 31, 2015 and February 14, 2015 Examination for some of the papers in GATE 2015 will be held in multiple sessions. Exact details regarding complete examination schedule will be notified at a later date.
