Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) will be conducting a common entrance test, Post-Graduate Medical Entrance Test (PGMET 2015), in the first week of March. This is going to be an online admission test for admissions to Post Graduate courses in medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
T Ravi Raju, Vice-Chancellor, NTRUHS, excerpted to The Hindu, The examination pattern was also changed such that the candidates have to answer questions based on images and case studies. Hitherto, they were given only multiple choice questions without any pictorial element in them.”
Raju also commented on the PGMET 2015 being held at multiple designated centres on a single day. The test has been made online keeping in mind the various issues NTRUHS has faced in the past year for curbing malpractice. This mode (online) along with being environment friendly will also be raising the standards and bringing it to national and international examinations in terms of standards.
Wrong answers are going to fetch student’s negative marking.
PGMET 2014 had brought with itself a lot of controversy and speculations. The question paper leakage had been the source of the whole controversy landing NTRUHS in a whole lot of trouble.
