The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has asked for an explanation from CBSE regarding non refund of fee to AIPMT students who had filed objections to a question in the AIPMT re-test held in the month of July this year.
A letter from the ministry directed CBSE to reply each complainant and petitioner within 10 days and also send a copy of the reply to the ministry. In response to the Right to Information filed by the local academician Arvind Goyal, CBSE said that five grace marks have already been awarded to 112 students who had filed objections to the question.
According to CBSE rules, a candidate needs to deposit Rs.1000 per question in order to raise an objection and the amount is refunded if the objection is accepted.
No refund of fee to AIPMT students
CBSE had earlier said that the process of refund of money has been initiated for the candidates who filed objections to a question in the All-India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) held on July 25, 2015, but the students had not received the same.
