In a meeting, IIT senior officials said there will not be many changes in the pattern and format of the exam and agreed to continue with the same pattern for the IIT-JEE examination for one more year.
An official said, any new system has to be given an opportunity for two-three years to sustain. In all probability, there will not be many changes this year. The board made a detailed review of the new pattern of the two-tier Joint Entrance Examination, which was implemented this year.
No change in JEE exam pattern next year, announces IIT JAB. IIT aspirants in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and those belonging to national boards like CBSE, had to contend with high cut-offs this year under the new format for admissions.
JAB is expected to meet again on September 15 at the Kharagpur IIT where the matter would be discussed once again.
However, the meeting today is also understood to have decided on next year’s examinations.
