The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test to be conducted on May 7, 2017. The NEET examination will be conducted by CBSE in 80 cities for admission to MBBS and BDS courses across the country.


The registrations for NEET 2017 have been opened on the NEET official website. Candidates can apply for the entrance test from January 31 to March 1. All the admission to MBBS and BDS courses in medical and dental colleges will be made through NEET 2017 this year.

The admission will be made for All India quota seats, state government seats, management and NRI quota seats in private colleges or deemed universities and central pool quota seats. In addition, Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India, Person of Indian Origin and foreign nationals are eligible to apply for the NEET 2017 for 15% all India quota seats.


As per the age criteria, candidates under 25 years of age on the date of examination are eligible to apply for NEET UG 2017. However, candidates belonging to reserved categories can apply up to 30 years of age, as relaxation of 5 years in age is given to them.


CBSE has made the Aadhar card mandatory to apply for the NEET UG 2017 from this year. Applicants will be required to fill up their Adhaar number while filling up the application form. Candidates from all states except from J&K, Assam and Meghalaya are required to enter the Aadhar card details while applying for NEET exam.
