New norms for Admission to Undergraduate Veterinary Science program: As reported by TOI, the Students interested to join the undergraduate program in veterinary science and animal husbandry should appear for the National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET) (UG) under the all India quota of 15 per cent in all the colleges that are affiliated to the UGC for the academic session 2019-20.
Pondicherry state veterinary council registrar, M. Senthil Kumar said that the department of animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries and union agriculture and farmers’ welfare ministry has announced that the Veterinary Council of India will induct students through the NEET (UG) 2019-merit list for giving students admission in BVSc and AH streams in recognized veterinary colleges in the country, except Jammu and Kashmir.

NEET 2019 will be conducted by NTA on May 5, 2019 in offline mode (Pen and Paper Test) in English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Oriya and Kannada languages
Candidates can apply for NEET UG 2019 through online mode till December 7, 2018 and pay the application fee till December 8, 2018.
