The Ministry of Human Resource and Development has decided to re-constitute the JEE Apex board for smooth conduct of JEE main and JEE advanced exam from the year 2018. The JEE Apex Board (JAB) will continue to hold the JEE Advanced exam.
There will the 18 members in the JEE Apex Board which includes the Former Director of IIT-Madras Prof. M.S. Anant as Honorary Chairperson. The members of the JAB will also include the Directors of IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, NIT Warangal, NIT Suratkal, NIT Trichy and IIT Delhi.
Moreover, the Chairman and Executive Director of CBSE, Director General of NIC and C-DAC, Additional/ Joint Secretary of Dept. of Higher Education, representatives of Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh will be the members of JAB.
CBSE will offer logistic support and the NIC/C-DAC will continue to provide the IT-related support for holding the JEE main examination. CBSE has extended the last date to apply online for JEE main 2017 up to January 16, 2017. The JEE main pen and paper based test will be held onApril 2, 2017 (Sunday).
