Maharashtra State Board has announced a special aptitude test for students to help them choose an effective career for them in the future. The state government has decided to introduce career counseling with these aptitude tests.
These tests will be conducted in the month of February every year during the practical exams for SSC. The results of these tests will be declared in April or May on the official website of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).
The Chairman of MSBSHSE said that a certificate will be issued to the students who clear the aptitude test. The mark sheets will also be issued later. It is the need of the hour to introduce such measure to ensure young talent gets right opportunity in career matters.
According to the National Policy of Education, effective career guidance and counseling is required at the level of secondary school education. The MSBSHSE has been given the responsibility of conducting the special aptitude test to help students choose higher studies and vocational education.
The education department at the SCERT and Mumbai-based Institute of Vocational Guidance and Selection will offer career guideline services to the students to make correct decisions about their career and higher education.
