Last date for submitting IGNOU admission forms for July 2015 session extended

IGNOUThe Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced that students who are yet to submit their admission forms for the coming academic session, can do so within the extended period that ends on August 31, 2015.

Initially, the last date for submission of forms was August 17, which the university administration is now extending. The extended period will hold valid for all academic programs with the exception of certificate programs.

However, those who missed the first deadline of Aug 17, will have to pay a late fee of INR 300. The university reserves the right to reject any application submitted after August 31.

IGNOU is offering admission for the July 2015 session in a diverse range of academic programs including MA (Philosophy); MA (Gandhi & Peace Studies); MA (Extension & Development Studies); MA (Education); MA (Anthropology); MA (Gender & Development Studies); Master of Social Work (MSW); Master of Social Work(Counseling); MA (Distance Education); MA (Economics); MA (English);MA (Hindi); MA (History); MA (Political Science); MA (Psychology); MA (Public Administration); MA (Rural Development); MA (Sociology); MA (Tourism Management); MA (Adult Education); MA (Women’s & Gender Studies); Master of Commerce (M.Com); Master of Computer Applications (MCA); Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS); M.Sc (Dietetics and Food Services Management); M.Sc (Counseling and Family Therapy); MA (Translation Studies).

IGNOU is also inviting application from interested students for Bachelor degree programs like: Bachelor of Science General BSc and also BSc with major in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology; Bachelor of Arts (BA) (with major in Hindi, English, Urdu, Economics, History, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology); BA in Tourism Studies (BTS); Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com); Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA); Bachelor of Library & Information Science (BLIS); Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).

There are also a number of additional programs at the level of diplomas and PG diplomas. The Prospectus and the Student Handbook for the coming academic session is available in all IGNOU regional centers/study centers for INR 200.
