The scorecards for GATE 2014 have been dispatched to the respective candidates who had appeared for the examination and had successfully cleared the paper as per the cut offs set by the GATE committee for 2014. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2014 scorecards has been sent off to the addresses mentioned by the candidate at the time of application for the examination. Students need to keep in mind that no additional scorecard for the examination will be issued. The card can be tracked by the students for progress by just logging to the official website and entering the enrollment id and password.
In case the scorecard id returned back to IIT Kharagpur it would be in case of insufficient of incorrect address. In order to get back the scorecard the candidate will have to either
Collect the scorecard in person on any working day from IIT Kharagpur from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Get the scorecard collected by a third party only with an authorization duly signed by the candidate
Send a signed written request with a copy of valid identity proof to have the scorecard sent to a new address
GATE 2014 is a Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India for admission to Master’s degree programmes in Engineering/Technology/Architecture as well as for Doctoral programmes in relevant branches of Science.
A total of 10,33,625 aspirants had registered for GATE-2014 examination out of which 86.02 per cent appeared, which means a total of 8,89,156 candidates appeared for the examination. On the basis of the qualified marks only 16.84 per cent will be receiving the scorecards for GATE 2014, which means 49,694 students. This year was the first for the GATE examination to be conducted through an online mode for all 22 papers.
