CTET, NET to be conducted Once a Year, aspires CBSE

CTET, NET to be conducted Once a Year, aspires CBSE; idea budding!

The newest information says that the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and National Eligibility Test (NET) should only be held once a year now, instead of twice as it used to be held earlier. The test is an eligibility examination for testing the admissibility of candidates and jobseekers for the appointment of teachers for class I-VIII.
The Board has appealed to remove the practice of conducting the National Eligibility Test (NET) twice in a year. The NET is a test held for employment of assistant professors.
The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has time and again reproached the Human Resource Development ministry for the hard and tedious task it is put through to conduct the NET twice a year.
There was also the argument that when all other CBSE based tests are held once a year why the CTET and NET should be held twice.
The HRD Ministry has also appointed NTS (National Testing Service) as an independent body that will be responsible for conducting entrance tests for higher education courses.
We can say that conducting NET once in a year is at a budding stage. The decision is yet to be taken!
