The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) – 21st February, 2016 (SUNDAY) was postponed in Haryana State owing to administrative reasons. The fresh date i.e. 8 th May, 2016 (SUNDAY) has been fixed for examination for the candidates of State of Haryana.
Earlier, due to Jat agitation in Haryana, the Central Teachers Eligibility Test scheduled to be held on 21st February, 2016 was postponed. The list of cities in Haryana included Ambala, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Karnal, Kurukshetra and Panchkula.
As per the notification issued, CTET 2016 results were expected to be declared on April 6, 2016. Since, the CTET exam was not conducted in Haryana; it is most likely that the CTET 2016 results will be declared after the conduct of CTET in Haryana on May 8, 2016.
The exam is conducted for candidates to be eligible for selection as a teacher for classes 1 to 8. The CTET scores apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, etc) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.
