Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has announced the commencement of the application process for the Joint CSIR – UGC NET for the appointment of Lecturer and the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
Those who meet the criteria set by the CSIR can apply online for the exam by logging onto csirhrdg.res.in on or before September 9, 2016.
Candidates can apply for either JRF or for ‘lectureship (LS) only’. The choice must be clearly indicated in the online application form. CSIR will choose candidates for JRF or ‘LS only’ based on the number of fellowships available as well as their performance in the exam.
Other factors will also be zoomed in on before the final selection. For example, if a candidate is found to be over-age for JRF, they will automatically be clubbed into the ‘LS only’ category.
The tentative date for the exam is Dec 18 2016.
The final results of the Single MCQ test is expected to be out sometime in the month of March of April next year. The validity of the fellowship will remain 2 years from effective date of fellowship as mentioned in the NET certificate.
