AIPMT RETEST WITHIN 4 WEEKS IMPOSSIBLE , SAYS CBSE TO SC

Roop Singh Dangi of Madina Village in Rohtak, the main perpetrator of the paper leak scandal, is still absconding and the Haryana police seems to be leaving no stones unturned to find his whereabouts. Because there are concerns that the kingpin may try to jeopardize the fresh exam as well, his arrest before the fresh exams could release a lot of pressure on the police.

“It has been established that AIPMT answer keys were leaked in 2o14 also. Two MBBS students – Banaras Hindu University (BHU) student, Vijay Yadav and King George Medical College, Rahul Verma who were involved in this year’s episode had qualified the 2014 exam using the same modus operandi. So the possibility of recurrence cannot be rule out,” officials said.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Rohtak range, Shrikant Jadhav said that they were trying to ascertain the modalities of CBSE examination system before the fresh test.

“As an investigation agency we want to study and zero in on the areas from where the question paper or answer keys could be passed on to the perpetrator.  For this we would require the co-operation of CBSE officials,” Jadhav said
