Initially, CLAT 2014 results were officially out on May 31, 2014, but were withheld due to technical goof ups. Many candidates were upset about their expected marks and results and requested the CLAT 2014 Secretariat and the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) to look into the matter. On further verification and scrutinization, it was marked that there had been a mismatch with the roll numbers and the OMR sheets which was responsible for the errors in the declared results. GNLU then announced a comparison between the roll numbers and the OMR sheets of all the candidates who have appeared for the test. A soft copy of the OMR sheet was also made available to the students through their log in ID.
Earlier, CLAT was introduced for the purpose of centralizing the Law School admission process. Each year, the exam is conducted individually by 14 participating institutes and universities. The exam was organized by GNLU for the session 2014 on May 11 for filling up the 1,660 undergraduate course seats and 491 postgraduate course seats.
